Washington State enacted several gun control measures on April 25th, most notably banning the sale of AR-15s and other military-style semiautomatic weapons. These measures aim to address the democratic-posed narrative that AR-15s and other powerful rifles are often used in mass shootings.

Washington becomes the ninth state to ban AR-15s. Additionally, the state enacted a 10-day waiting period on gun sales, requires gun safety training, and gives consumers and the state attorney general the ability to sue gun manufacturers or firearm dealers through “public nuisance” laws if they negligently sale firearms to minors or “dangerous individuals.”
